INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 small yellow onion
- 1/3 cup white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- fresh ground pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS
- Rinse, drain, and pat dry the shrimp with paper towels.
- Heat the skillet over medium-high heat, and add butter and olive oil.
- Sauté garlic and onion in the pan until golden brown and fragrant.
- Add the white wine to the pan and simmer the sauce for 2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until pink. Reduce the heat to medium-low and bring to a simmer. Let the shrimp simmer for 5 minutes and add salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- Top with lemon juice and parsley and serve immediately.
