For the last 10 years of my nursing career, I worked as an RN Case Manager, having that one-on-one contact with the patient without interruption was most rewarding. Having the time to teach medication use and side effects as well management of their medical issue was priceless. I would always teach the diabetic patients about the possible side effects of using artificial sweeteners.

On February 20, 2020, I published a Blog entitled Yellow Pink Blue or Something Else, all of my Blogs are timeless so please feel free to read them. The Blog speaks to the danger of using artificial sweeteners and the possible side effects of using them. One of those was cancer.

A study in 2017 found Aspartame, sold under the brand names Equal, NutraSweet, and Sugar Twin, was found to cause an increased risk of 13% of developing cancer, the highest being breast cancer. Other medical conditions were obesity, stroke, and heart disease.

The long-term daily risk of these sweeteners increases the possibility of one or more of the medical conditions listed above. Sugar substitutes are either grown in the lab or plant-based like Stevia. The plant based are without a doubt healthier. Raw or cane sugar are healthier.

A few weeks ago, the link between artificial substitutes and cancer was announced by the FDA. Say what???? Well considering Aspartame is 200 times sweeter than regular sugar, sucralose (Splenda) is 600 times sweeter than sugar, and saccharin is 500 times sweeter than sugar, I would advise you to use one teaspoon to sweeten your coffee or tea.

The Blog that I mentioned earlier gives a complete breakdown of artificial sweeteners, go to the question mark on the website, www.janzplace2.com, and enter Pink, Yellow, Blue, or Something Else.

Now that you have the information, the decision is yours. What will you do, only you can make that decision. Life is full of them.

I urge you to read the Blog mentioned above and weigh your options.

Until next time,

Peace, Love, and Blessings💖
