This fairly inexpensive dessert will have your family feeling special. In 25 minutes, you can have a restaurant-quality dessert.
Prep Time: 25 minutes total (15-minute bake time)
INGREDIENTS
- 4 fresh pears or 8 canned pear halves
- water, sugar
- 1-2 tbsp. orange liqueur, optional
- 6-8 chocolate-covered mints
- grapes or walnut halves for garnish
PREPARATION
- If using fresh pears, cook in water with sugar until soft to the touch. Drain well.
- Drain canned pears well (if using). Place pears on an ovenproof plate or dish. Sprinkle with liquor, if used. Put one chocolate-covered mint on top of each pear half.
- Broil or bake the pears in the oven at 375℉ to 400℉ for 10 to 15 minutes, until the chocolate has melted.
- Remove from the oven. Garnish with grapes or walnut halves.
