We all have cute nicknames for our vaginas, flower, purse, garage, honey pot, and the most well known thanks to Oprah, the vajayjay. No matter what we call it at some point in our lives, mainly when we get older, we start to worry that it is losing elasticity.

After too much sexual intercourse with a well endowed partner you may wonder if your vagina will return to its natural size. Not to worry, your vagina is the most resilient part of the body and bounces back to its previous size very efficiently.

Vaginas are designed to be elastic and are able to expand large enough for any size penis and most certainly childbirth. There are a number of magical changes that take place in a woman’s body during arousal and sexual intercourse.

When we are aroused blood flow increases to the vaginal area and provides lubrication to the rugae, the “bumpy” textured inner walls of the vagina. The rugae relax, that unfolds the walls and creates space to accommodate your lovers penis regardless of size. The largest penis in the world can’t compare to pushing out an eight pound baby, so it won’t affect your vagina.

As we age our hormone levels drop during menopause and we experience dryness. Our bodies don’t create enough lubrication for comfortable intercourse. It is important to have adequate lubrication to avoid irritation during sexual intercourse.

You should supplement with a non water based lubricant, there are many on the market. Better yet use a natural alternative, my go to is extra virgin coconut oil. Its a fantastic moisturizer that decreases irritation in the vaginal area.

After intercourse, we feel not as tight because our vagina was stretched. Have no fear within a few hours she will return to her pre intercourse tightness.

What happens after childbirth ? Having multiple babies can affect the vaginal muscles but does not permanently loosen the vagina. It takes about six months after having the baby for the vagina to tighten to its original size.

Actually tightness is not the vaginas issue, its the vaginal pelvic floor muscles that form a figure eight girdle around the vaginal pelvic area. As with all muscle if you want more tightness, exercise is the trick. The most effective for those muscles is the Kegel exercise.

Kegel exercise frequently practiced throughout the day, on a regular basis will tighten your vaginal pelvic floor muscles. Now the thing is you can’t do it for a few days and think that will do the trick. As with any work out you have to be consistent. Doing Kegel everyday throughout the day you should feel tighter in a few months.

However make this a lifetime practice, not just a few months. Be faithful do them every day for the rest of your life. You will feel tighter. Stay sexually healthy !!!
