To all my followers, please forgive the late posting. In the last few weeks, things have been turned upside down. Erin, my daughter had a fall at her job, hitting her head in the process. She was sent to the ER for evaluation. Because she hit her head, an MRI was performed. It revealed a tumor at the base of her brain. The physician stated it had been growing there for some time. Erin had no headaches, blurred vision, or any other symptoms indicating a tumor. Had it not been for the fall, we wouldn’t know it was there. I am requesting prayers for her.

You all know that I cook almost daily and rarely go out for dinner, however, last week I craved a Greek salad. Sunrise Inn in Waren, OH. makes the best Greek Salad and their pizza is mouthwatering. Warren isn’t far from my home, about a 20-minute drive. I debated with myself did I want to make that drive??? After all it was raining on and off.

After viewing the menu, I decided the drive was worth it. I called in my order for a Greek Salad and a small Monterey Chicken pizza. I was given a 45-minute time frame for pick-up. I decided to clear my emails while I waited for my departure time. I have four email accounts and got so involved in clearing them, I missed my departure by 10 mins.

I jumped in my vehicle and hit the freeway 5 minutes away. Thankfully traffic was light and moving right along. I kept thinking about my salad and pizza, and if I should eat it at the restaurant, but quickly decided against that. I wanted to be comfortable in my home so I could stretch out on my couch after eating.

I arrived and headed to the cashier to pick up my order. I gave my name and she smiled and said, “today is your lucky day!” Looking puzzled I said “why, is there a contest I won?” She replied “no, a gentleman paid for your order”. I looked around me thinking, is he still here?

The cashier went on to say that the customer before asked to pay for the next order, which happened to be mine. I was astounded. She went on to say he shared with her the fact that someone had paid it forward for him in the past week and he wanted to pay it forward for another person.

I have paid it forward for others in the past and this was not the first time it happened to me. It brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart. After Erin’s diagnosis and trying to not worry about the outcome. I have faith that everything will be fine, and she will recover without impairment. After all, her Angel will be there to watch over her.

It is my firm belief that Angels walk among us, and I look forward to being an angel for someone else. A smile, a hello, and kindness don’t cost a thing. Have you ever considered just a smile and hello may lift someone’s spirit? Try it and bring a little joy to someone’s day. By the way, the photo is of the salad and pizza.

Until next time,

Love, Peace, and Blessings💖

One Thought on “Angels Among Us”

  • I don’t know how I missed this blog as that is very rare; however through a Instagram communication with Erin I know she is fine. Happy to hear that and that you made Cassie’s wedding. I am a firm believer in angels among us and pray that they watch over you and Chucj in your travel as well as the newly weds
