This easy to make dish is done in 30 minutes. 10 minutes to prep and 20 minutes to cook. This recipe serves 2-4 people depending on serving size.
INGREDIENTS
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled
1/2 tsp maple syrup
2 tsp high heat oil ( grape seed or pure olive oil)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper ( substitute plain paprika if you can’t do spicy)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Set oven to 425 F
- Cut your fries, lengthwise
- Toss fries with half of the spices and oil, place on a nonstick baking pan, do not use parchment paper, they will not get crispy.
- Drizzle the fries with oil and maple syrup. Sprinkle with remaining spices and salt evenly over the top.
- Bake 10 minutes, remove from the oven and with a spatula carefully flip the fries over. Bake another 10 minutes until the edges are lightly crisp.
I have made these several times since I found the recipe. You can serve with maple syrup on the side to dip them or they are delicious with smoky aioli.
A great easy side dish. Enjoy!!
