I must say this recipe will definitely be added to my arsenal. These ribs were tender and full of Sweet Spicy flavor (I used a spicy BBQ sauce. I chose the low and slow 8 hrs option. The ribs were falling off the bone but firm and juicy.

Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 4 hours on high setting 8 hours on low setting Servings: 6

INGREDIENTS

3 lbs. ribs

18 oz. Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Barbecue Sauce (I used the Sweet/Spicy)

6 ounces of root beer (1/2 of a 12 oz. can)

1/8 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut rib rack in half
  2. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper, then place in Crock Pot
  3. Combine BBQ Sauce and root beer in a bowl, mix well, and reserve 1/2 cup. Pour remaining sauce over ribs in crockpot.
  4. Cover the crockpot with lid and cook on High for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours. When the ribs are done, brush on the final 1/2 cup of sauce mixture before serving.

(Optional: spoon sauce over ribs 1-2 times while cooking to keep meat extra moist. I chose this option, and it did what it was supposed to do).

Easy and yummy

Enjoy!
