It is of no surprise to my followers that I drink a warm glass of lemon water with honey every morning, even before coffee, it is a part of my morning ritual. Last year I wrote a blog on the benefits of lemon water, some of which were it encourages bowel movements, increases the immune system by adding natural vitamin C, hydrates the body, and cleanses liver toxins. I drank it even before the log, however the research for that blog enlightened me regarding the benefits of drinking it.

Almost a month ago I ran across some information regarding the benefits of drinking warm lemon water with Himalayan salt. I was unaware of the fact many professional athletes and Olympians start their morning with this concoction. Needless to say I decided to try it, I have to report it tastes like sea water. However, I decided to continue this daily ritual because of the health benefits associated with it.

10 ounces of warm lemon water with Himalayan salt in the morning increases your immune function, decreases uric acid to fight inflammation, improves digestion, and balances your body. These benefits are attributed to the vitamin C content of the lemon juice and the essential minerals found in Himalayan salt. This simple drink promotes vitality, health, and overall wellness, oh and did I forget to mention, it improves your sex drive.

The anti-inflammatory property in lemons help dissolve the uric acid in your joints and have been found to help build and repair, tendons, ligaments, and bone. This is especially beneficial for anyone who suffers with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. A daily glass of lemon water with Himalayan salt may provide a better balance of minerals, which promote food and water absorption, allowing essential nutrients to get where they need to be.

Most people think of lemons as being acidic when the fact is, when lemon hits your digestive system it becomes alkaline.
