One of the easiest and definitely flavorful sauces to make is vodka sauce. You can serve it with various types of pasta and add whatever you like.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup vodka ( for those of you who don’t drink, alcohol dissipates when you cook with it)
Add 1/4 cup heavy cream
pepper flakes 1/4 to 1/2 tsp to taste
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook together and reduce the marinara sauce and the vodka until you are back to 2 cups. (You will have to eyeball this. Don’t rush the reduction and stir during the process.
Add 1/4 c heavy cream
stir in pepper flakes
add 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan
garnish with fresh basil
To make sure every noodle is saturated with sauce, you have to marry the sauce to the pasta.
To your pot of sauce, add some of the starchy pasta water. Bring to a slight boil, stirring to reduce the liquid.
Serve with pasta of your choice.
