You may want to make extra of the scrumptious sauce to use for another meal or definitely for stir fry. Instead of a fast food meal try this fresh healthy 30 minute meal. When I made it I had bone in thick chops on hand so that is what I used. It was still delicious but I will try it with boneless chops next time.

INGREDIENTS

4 thin boneless pork chops

1/2 cup soy sauce

4 tablespoons honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons sesame oil

4 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and sweet chili sauce.
  2. Pour half of marinade over the pork chops and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Reserve the remaining half of the marinade.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat; add chops to skillet, discard the marinade left in the bowl.
  5. Cook chops until browned on one side, about 6 minutes.
  6. Turn chops over and add the reserved marinade to the pan.
  7. Cook for 6 more minutes or until the pork reaches an internal temp f 160 degrees.
  8. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

I served the chops with brown rice, balsamic asparagus and and cherry tomatoes. However you could also use authentic Chinese noodles, Asian slaw or for the real Korean experience try multiple small dishes of vegetables or kimchi.

Double the recipe for more servings.
